Design for the Human Eye.

Simulate human visual perception to understand how users actually experience your designs.

Scrutinizer Browser and Figma Plugin

Use Cases

Design Inspection

Validate visual hierarchy and scan paths. Ensure your primary calls-to-action are visible in the periphery and that key information lands in the fovea.

UX Research

Simulate user focus at scale, observe how users scan your interface. See research precedents for foveal restricted viewing to understand how users scan your interface.

Scientific Research

Open source and fully customizable for your specific research needs. Biologically plausible rendering. Our engine accurately models the ventral stream (V1, V4) and retinal ganglion density.

Products

Built with expertise, Human & AI.

Web Browser

An open-source web browser with built-in foveal simulation. Built for developers and researchers.

Figma Plugin

Study your designs without leaving Figma. Copy static renderings to canvas or browse with live effects.

The Science

Understanding human vision for better UX.

Scrutinizer models the human visual field in three distinct regions: the Fovea (where details are resolved), the Parafovea (where the next glance is planned), and the Far Periphery (where context and motion are detected).

By simulating the specific degradation of each zone—from "heat-haze" crowding in the parafovea to rod-vision desaturation in the periphery—we reveal exactly what your users can (and cannot) see at a glance.
